Layden Andrew Johnson, 37 years old, passed away on February 6, 2025, in Brownwood, Texas. He was born in Odessa, Texas to Charlie and Sharla Johnson on October 20, 1987, and shared a birthday with his papaw, Floyd Johnson. Layden attended Roby High School in Roby, Texas and graduated from Sanford-Fritch High School in 2006. Layden was an all-star football player in high school and a fierce competitor. He loved his family and getting together with them. He enjoyed going fishing, playing dominos and all kinds of music. He was a big guy with a big heart and will be sorely missed. Charles Layden Andrew Johnson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Thelma Johnson and Dee and Beverly Phillips. He is survived by his son, Cayde Winters, sister, Rachelle Phillips and Stephen, brother, Devin Johnson, parents, Charles and Sharla Johnson, and his niece and nephew, Emily Castor and Jackson Phillips. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Lake Brownwood State Park in the Group Rec Hall.
