Brenda Lee Harrell 51 of Abilene passed away Sunday March 5, 2017 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday March 11, at 1:00pm at the Mission Church located at 3001 N. 3rd St. Brenda was born December 28, 1965 in Brownfield TX, to the parents of Stance and Lorine Brown-Harrell. The family moved to Abilene in 1971 and Brenda attended Abilene Schools graduating from Cooper High School in 1984. Brenda was a lovable person who never met a stranger. She didn't have biological Children but nurtured and cared for many children over the years at "Aunties Place". Brenda loved Arts and Crafts, Loved cooking, and absolutely loved kids. Left to cherish her memories are 8 sisters: Patsy Long of Glenn Heights TX, Ruby of Rockwall TX, Mamie Rockmore of Dallas, Rachel Okezirume of Pflugerville, TX, Gayla Owens of Opelika AL, Cristi Harrell of Abilene, (Special sister Patricia Brown) of Abilene, and Nettie Johnson of Temple TX. 4 brothers: Stance Harrell Sr. of Houston TX, Gene Harrell of Jewett TX, Jarvis Harrell of Abilene TX, James Harrell of Abilene TX, a number of nieces nephews extended family and many friends. Brenda was preceded in death by Parents Stance and Lorine Harrell, brother Alex Harrell, sisters; Leah McNeil, and Ethalene Harrell, Paternal grandparents Walter and Erma Harrell, and Maternal Grandparents Floyd and Zettle Brown.
