Bettie Joe "Lovie" Sypho 86, of Brownwood passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 12pm at Victory Life Church. Visitation will also be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 11am to 12pm also at Victory Life Church.

"Lovie" was born October 15, 1935 in Hunter, TX to Maudie Basped and Walter Barnes.

For many years, "Lovie" worked as a Kitchen Manager for numerous School Districts before retiring. She was a woman that loved God and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 20 years with her favorite verse being the 23rd Psalms.

"Lovie" had a number of hobbies which included fishing, cooking, playing cards, and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by both parents; 6 brothers and 5 sisters.

She is survived by her son Walter Barnes of Brownwood, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
