Barbara was born November 29, 1946 in Haskell TX, to the parentage of James Samuels and Bessie Phillips-Samuels. At a young age Barbara moved to Fort Worth and would spend the majority of her life there. In 2015 Barbara relocated to Abilene and would reside here until her death. Barbara was a fun and loving person who would tell you what was on her mind at any given time. She loved to Dance, Shop, listening to Blues and more so she loved her family. Barbara Samuels-Hyatt 69 of Abilene passed away Sunday April 10, 2016 at Hendrick Medical Center. Barbara was preceded in death by both parents, son Victor, 5 brothers Tyrone, Robert Earl, James Earl, Roy, Kenneth, and 1 sister sue. Left to cherish her memories are daughter Marie Lunsford (Russel) of Colorado Springs, sons Derrick Spotwood (Debra) of Abilene, Alvin Spotwood (Chante) of Abilene, Kinny Ray Spotwood of Kansas City MS, and Jeffery Spotwood of Austin. Siblings, Darlene Johnson, Dorothy Lowrey, Clara Owens Wanda Samuels, Michael Samuels 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
