Mr. Arilee Marsh Jr. "AL" 66 of Abilene received his heavenly reward Wednesday January 4, 2017 at Hendrick Medical Center with family by his side. A service of praise and celebration will be held Wednesday January 11, 2017 at 2pm at Faith Deliverance Community Church located at 5501 US Hwy 277. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8pm also at the church. AL was born June 14, 1950 in Stamford TX to the parents of Arilee Marsh Sr. and Claudia Faye Davis-Marsh. Al attended grade school in Hamlin TX, and later attended Middle and High School in Stamford, as a child Arilee was always busy, so his parents nick named him "Buzz". After High School AL moved to Abilene and was employed at Abilene Linen and that's where he would meet the love of his life Ola Casey, and they were married in Abilene on Valentine's day in 1978. AL also worked for the City of Abilene for several years, then in 1979 he began his passion, a life-long career in Truck Driving. Al worked for Lone star Transportation for many years and in 1980 his entrepreneurial spirit led him to purchase his first truck and operated as a owner operator for 35 years. Al loved to play pool, watching basketball, and any old TV shows especially westerns. Arilee was a very had working man who loved his family, and loved people in general. He was a father to many, and had a heart of gold, and a great since of humor. Al was preceded in death by both parents. Left to cherish his memories are wife of 39 years Ola Casey-Marsh of Abilene, son Arilee Marsh III of Abilene, Grandchildren who called him "PaPa; Tiana, Johnathon, Zaynah, Aliyah, great grandson Joshua, sisters; Sharon Carrington (Joe) of Mount Clair CA. Crystal Washington (James Sr.) of Stamford. Brothers; Donald Mays (Era Jo) of Stamford, Ira Marsh (Mardella) of Stamford. Sister in-laws; Beverly Dillard of Anchorage AK, Clara Casey of Abilene, Kenny McGee of Fort Worth, and Alberta Barnett of Fort Worth. Six Aunts; Billie Sowels of Fort Worth, Arlene Matthews of Lubbock, Frankie Davis of Stamford, Mattie Johnson of Stamford, Ula Cooper of Lubbock, and Doris Jean Giles of Midland, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
