Alfred was born November 12, 1916 in Iola TX, to the parentage of Lee and Hattie Williams. Alfred attended school in Brady at the Methodist School which later became Dunbar High School. In 1943 He enlisted in the U.S. Army and worked as a Mechanic Technician in the 2052 Quartermaster Truck Company. Alfred received a Honorable Discharge after serving until January 7, 1946. After coming back to Brady, Alfred was employed by the Ford Motor Company for many years doing what he loved to do, "Mechanic Work". After getting employed by the United States Post Office, He relocated to Anderson Texas. Alfred Moved back to Brady and continued working for the Post office until his retirement. After retirement he enjoyed mechanic work, working on neighborhood cars. Alfred was a long time dedicated member of St. James Baptist Church where he sang in the church Choir, a member of the Brotherhood, Church Clerk and Secretary, and volunteering and helping out anyway he could.

Left to cherish his memories are nephews Charlie Reeves of Houston, Alfred Reeves of Houston, and neice Oma Sinches of Austin, and a host of extended family and many friends.
Alfred was preceded in death by both parents, brothers: Glenn Williams, Isaiah Williams, and Brady Williams, and sister Nelline Reeves.
